"How to get PURE WATER!"
5-27-01

Top of the day to you and I hope you had a safe Memorial Day weekend!

So many people were eating Watermelons on the beach to help deal with the heat. And the smoke from the fires has been a beast to say the least. But I got to thinking of my article for you this week.

Back in 7-25-99 I wrote an article on Distilled Water and it got a lot of favorable feedback. But I want to talk about PURE WATER! And this should help set the record straight on how we can get it all the time.

From the American Journal of Public Health, Chlorinated drinking water causes more than 10,000 of rectal cancer & bladder cancer each year in this country.

Chlorine reacts with other chemicals in the water to form chloroforms and many other carcinogens (cancer causing compounds)

The Environmental Protection Agency already knows chlorine causes cancer, but their feelings that preventing typhoid outweighs the cancer risk...so it seems they'd rather kill the bugs and take the chance on tumors.

Without water our bodies would be reduced to a few pounds of dust, as over 70% of our body is water:

Teeth = 10%

Lungs = 80%

Bones = 13%

Brain = 80.5%

Cartilage = 55%

Bile = 86%

Red blood Plasma = 90%

Corpuscles = 68.7%

Blood = 90.7%

Liver = 71.5%

Lymph = 94%

Muscle tissues = 75%

Saliva = 95.5%

Spleen = 75.5%

Gastric Juices = 95.5%

1) Water supports all the nutritive processes, from digestion & absorption to utilization & excretion.

2) Water holds the nutrients in solution and transports all the food necessary for life to all parts of the body.

3) Water holds toxins & wastes that it picks up from the cells & carries them to the organs of elimination.

4) Water is necessary for all body fluids. Without sufficient Water, we'd have no saliva & our tongue would stick to the inside of our mouth and we could never taste our food…what a tragic loss!

5) Water keeps all our tissues soft & prevents friction between all the organs and bones so we can move freely.

6) Water is the chief agent in regulating body temperatures much like the water in a radiator of a car. You figure that an internal temperature change of only a few degrees can mean death. With all this in mind, I feel it's obvious that water's vital role in keeping us alive and in great health is indisputable. So now there are 3 issues here:

  • When to drink = when you are thirsty which varies with season and during activity when you sweat, drink more water. "If you are thirsty, drink"...our bodies are too smart not to let us know when we are thirsty before you eat or drink anything else...a main concern here is "not to drink when you eat and don't eat when you drink" and never right after a meal!
  • How much to drink = we lose about 1 gallon of water each day and nothing is to be gained by drinking excess water. It water logs the tissues; dilutes fluids; and impairs cellular function. And it also lowers the capacity of the blood to absorb and carry oxygen. 8 glasses of fluid a day is plenty through eating and distilled water.
  • The best kind of water is pure water. Tap water is processed sewer water and is more like chemical soup than anything else...water is life and the better your water, the better your life. Distillation provides us with the purest water obtainable. Some will argue with you pure distilled water (other than in plant life) can't be found in nature, that our ancient ancestors had no way of getting distilled water. Well that's true, however to the great discredit of humankind, all our waters have been fouled with the toxic waste of civilization. So now much to our regret, we have to resort to mechanical procedures to purify our water. Tap water is good for washing windows, A classic line from several Olympic Athletes I interviewed several years ago when I asked them what were a few things that kept them so healthy, and they all echoed the same phrase, “Don't drink the crap from the tap!”

I did a tele-seminar last year on this subject and you don't have to miss out on it as we have an audio program as a result. This will dramatically change your priorities about the kind of water you drink!

Here's a closing thought for you. Morality may consist solely in the courage of making a choice. Wickedness is always easier than virtue, for it takes a short cut to everything. But over time you learn, you can't make wrong work.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And your only reward is that it's easy. You cannot do wrong without suffering wrong. Similarly, we can't drink the crap from the tap.

Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that right thoughts and right efforts will inevitably bring about right results. I guess that's why I encourage you to eat good stuff so you'll always be tough!

You can never lose anything that really belongs to you, and you can't keep that which belongs to someone else. You always experience the consequences of your own acts. If your acts are right, you'll get good consequences; if not, you'll suffer for it.

Sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences. Treat yourself and especially others to great things and your banquet of consequences will be abundance of health and prosperity…what a great consequence. Be honest with yourself. You are more than special, you are UNIQUE which makes you indispensable. All my best to you!
