The top of the day to you

When I wrote the last article on a Recipe for a Healthy Day which included my schedule for that day, I made mention of the 82 things I read each morning to start my day. Well I have been overwhelmed to say the least with the response to share the 82 things on my list.

I learned a long time ago and it's an old cliché that we never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. Well I'm here to refute that a bit. We only have 7 seconds to make a first impression and then 30 more seconds to try and make a turn around on that first impression. So we really do get a second chance on a first impression. But it really does take some doings to get there.

Well it's the same with the way we start our day. It's the determining factor for the rest of the day.

I'm very grateful for so many things. And 1 of the 6 things I do EVERYDAY is I read my “GRATEFUL LIST” when I'm on the 'john' in the morning. In so many words, I'm getting rid of the old and bringing on the new in a very positive way with reading these 80 some things on the list.

Since I live alone (not lonely by any means) I need those things around to keep me positive. So here's my list and it might be a good model for you glean from to create your list. It's attached in a WORD File. Now if you have a problem downloading it, please let me know so I can drop it in an e-mail message for you.

I read somewhere some time ago and it's what got me to start doing this I suppose, but check this out.

Your real riches in life are riches of the head and heart. Satisfaction comes to you from appreciating what you have. Wealth without enjoyment is little consolation. Your real prosperity lies in being thankful.

While success is getting what you want, true happiness is wanting what you get. It's not how much you have, but how much you enjoy that truly matters. Make a “GRATEFUL LIST” and start your day with a jump on your mental health. Our bodies are not like a machine with a broken part. To be truly healthy, we also need mental health, as well as when our mental health is shot, then all else is doom to failure. Enjoy A Healthy Way to Start the Day with your new “GRATEFUL LIST”!
