Top of the day to you
The world lifeguard competition is in Daytona Beach
this year and it's starting Monday and will last for 12 days. Sort of like the
Olympics with incredible athletes from all over the world in their prime of fitness.
I just got back from a 32 mile beach cruiser bike ride so I really got to see
a lot of the try outs and the 100's of quality athletes training like the dickens
preparing for the next 12 days. It's so interesting to talk to a lot of them about
their dietary habits and it's so great to see so many of them are very much into
what they eat.
After much time with them today, I found out that they all have so much in
common. When I interviewed the Olympic Athletes for the Voices of Experiences
some years ago I was glad to see that they all had similar things in common
about what kept them healthy. Here are 4 common traits with all of them:
1. They ate the fruit that was in season www.wayne-pickering.com/mini to start
the day.
2. They all got a nap each day.
3. They NEVER drank the 'crap from the tap'! That is where I got that line and
it was a definite common trait with all of them. This is one of the reasons
why we created the audio program on "Water" a couple years ago.
4. It's an "Attitude", which was a real surprise to know that they each said they
never beat their competition at the race physically, they only beat them at
the race MENTALLY. They beat them physically during training but Mentally at
the event!
So we had a lot to talk about. Almost universally they all quizzed me about
nutrition. And a lot of them wanted to know about eggs. And this is one question
I've been asked about for many years and so many of the over 12,000 of folks
who read this message each week have asked me the same thing, "Wayne how
can you eat eggs so they will digest favorably?"
My mother has been trying some egg salads and has had stomach cramps like she
has never had and when I spoke to her about it and found out how she was eating
them, it was no wonder she wasn't worse that she was. Eggs do not combine with
any fruit (i.e. in a salad with lemon), starch (breads or the like), vinegars
(salad dressings), oils or even other proteins. So if you want to eat them,
there are a few foods they will combine with for ease of digestion.
So after much thought and counseling with a lot of my inner circle members,
I was persuaded to share an Egg Salad this week. Check this out and it's a great
combination no less.
INGREDIENTS:
· 3 Hard Boiled EGGS
· 1 Stem of CELERY (not the whole stock)
· 1-2 small Flowerets of Broccoli
INSTRUCTIONS:
Boil the 3 Eggs to where the yolks just started to harden. Take the shells
off them and throwing the yolks of 2 of them to the animals. The possums, coons
and dogs love them around here. (Sounds like a tropical paradise don't it
.J?)
Mash them (the eggs
lord, we don't do feathers) up in a large salad bowl.
Now with a cheese slicer that has the blade like edge on it, run the Broccoli
and Celery over it to fall over the eggs into small thin slices and then with
a fork just mix it thoroughly and presto, an Egg Salad.
It's filling and very easy to do. This will satisfy your craving for eggs for
those who have been after me to share this kind of recipe with them. Enjoy.
People have been telling me what a great idea this has been for them. Best to
you.

PS Well I used to think that it was highly unlikely that a computer could get
a person down. Well it really does especially in one's business.
My computer has been in and out of the shop now for almost 2 weeks and it's
been a bear trying to catch up with all the messages. Had over 2000 messages
in that period of time and "WOW" is all I can say.
But we are up and running once again so I should be back to normal real soon.
If you wrote me and need an immediate answer, I'll try to get to it ASAP but
most likely it will take about 2 weeks to get everything back in order. Thanks
for your patience.
