"Dinner to stay Slimmer in the Winter"

The top of the day to you

And I sure do hope it's as nice out where you live as it is where I'm living. The sun is beaming through the windows and I'm sucking in that awesome fresh ocean air. It's morning now as I write this message and the Robinson Tangerines are now is season. I have to tell you that I don't know how anyone could possibly start their day with all that stuff people normally eat for breakfast. Bacon & Eggs -or- cereal & milk -or- coffee and donuts -or- those powders and potions everyone pays so much money for when they could have some fresh Tangerine Juice that will fill you with an abundance of energy and make you feel great right off the bat.

And it's the same with this week's recipe. I happened to try something new the other evening and I thought I would really be remiss is I didn't share this one with you. Since it's such a logical principle to change your diet per season, here a delicious recipe to help you stay slimmer in the winter. When I used to live in the northern climates we used to fatten up because of less activity and eating more stuff thinking we'll work it off in the spring. Not cool as it just taxes the body too much and leaves us with too much stress on the body.

Check this recipe out…

The INGREDIENTS:

--- 20 sun dried Tomatoes
--- 2 Yellow Summer Squash
--- 2 small Zucchini Squash
--- 1 Orange Bell Pepper (or any of the different colored Bell Peppers)

The RECIPE:

On the bottom of a vegetable steamer, put the 20 sun dried Tomatoes and on top of the Tomatoes put the 2 Yellow Summer Squash (whole); 2 small Zucchini Squash (whole) and let steam for about 4-5 minutes. Now put all the ingredients into a bowl and cut the squashes into one half inch slices. Then put the thin Orange Bell Pepper Slices and toss the mixture in one half ounce of Olive Oil. Pour your Pesto Sauce all over the top. You can make this as a side dish for your Protein Meal. If you are into eating flesh foods, this would be ideal to have with it. If you are a vegetarian, then have it as a stand-alone meal.

How to make your own PESTO Sauce

In a blender on the slowest speed put 2 Tomatoes, 4 ounces of Cashews, 1 ounce of Olive Oil and a clove of Garlic, Start the blender and put some fresh Basil and Parsley and blend until smooth approximately 2-3 minutes! And Presto ... It's Pesto!

As a Viet Nam Veteran I would like to wish all the veterans who served their country during those particular eventful times in your nation's history. Coming into this great country from Canada while everyone else was going to Canada to get out of going to Viet Nam, I felt it was a terrific honor and privilege to serve to preserve the integrity of the United States.
