It's getting close to Christmas everyone!
So next week I'll be writing an article on a Perfect Christmas Feast. The ideal way to eat the Turkey, mashed potatoes and all the trimmings and the dessert to boot. Now that ought to be a hoot. Tune into it, as it will be a winner for you! I made this recipe last week again and I have to tell you it is an awesome stew!
Let soak in 4 cups of distilled water for about 8 hours
- ¼ Cup Barley
- ¼ Cup Rice
- ¼ Cup Lentils
Then put it in a cooking pot with
- 1 chopped Sweet Onion
- 6 cloves of Garlic finely chopped
- 2 Red Bliss Potatoes
- ½ Sweet Potato or YAM (Preferably)
- 1 sliced Parsnip
- 1 cup chopped Parsley
- ½ pound of Escarole
- ¼ teaspoon of Basil
- ¼ teaspoon of Oregano
- ¼ teaspoon of Thyme
- I never use Salt as it's Pure, White & Deadly, but if you must,
use ¼ teaspoon of Sea Kelp or Sea Dulse or Sea Salt.
Bring this whole mixture to a boil for 5 minutes and then let simmer for at
least an hour and no more than 1½ hours. You can even stuff this into
a baked Acorn Squash. Can't wait to hear how all of you like it!
ENJOY and here's a little something to remember if you are wondering how much
to eat at a meal, if you regulate the quality of what you eat and the quantity
will take care of itself!

PS My C/D of the week has to be "The Manhattan Transfer" entitled
'The Offbeat of Avenues'! Stay Terrific!
