Happy Labor Day to you!
I just finished a breakfast that I thought would be an incredible treat for
you. It's my "Pernana-Dana"! And I have to tell you it sounds kind
of gnarly but will blow you away at how sweet and delicious it is especially
for a morning breakfast. And don't forget calorie counting is "for the
birds". Don't even consider counting calories when I give you a recipe
because it's not even remotely significant. Here's the line, "if we regulate
the quality of what we eat, then the quantity takes care of itself."
And all the ingredients are in season right now as we speak.
INGREDIENTS:
Two Bananas
One half pound of Red Seedless Grapes
Three RIPE Persimmons
Mash the bananas with a fork for about 10 seconds then add the Grapes and mix
a bit. Then add the quartered RIPE Persimmons all around the top of the mixture.
This is very easy and another "Boy Howdy" response when you eat it,
I'll guarantee it.
It's easy to backslide at times, but here is a little something for you to
be thinking about during that process of backsliding. When you plant a garden,
one thing we don't have to plant are the weeds. They just come up all by themselves
and don't need any nurturing at all. And if we don't cull them out, they will
take over as sure as shootin'! Then when we plant the vegetables, we really
have to give them special attention or the weeds will take over in no time.
Well it's the same with our nutritional habits. When we backslide into the junk
food, then those habits will soon take over our more healthful habits without
much encouragement at all. Then we have a mess of weeds to tend to instead of
the rewards of eating the best most of the time. No body does things perfectly
all the time, but it would be good to have that option so we can reap the many
rewards of life resulting from good health. It's no picnic being sick, fat,
miserable or broke. I've learned that it's ok to be broke, it's just not OK
to stay broke. It's the same with our health. It's OK to get a little sniffle
once in a while, but it's not OK to have pneumonia. And the greatest lesson
I can teach you is that we don't catch ANY of those problems. WE EARN THEM!
You are a marvel of design who was meant to prosper and live in abundance with
a carefree attitude being of service to our fellowman/women!
Half of getting what we want in life is knowing what we must give up to get
it. And if it's health you want
if it's being lean and mean
if it's
having a great time in life then need to give up on those things that take us
away from those things we really want. I like the line from a good friend of
mine, Willie Jolley, "Let your set-backs in life be your set-ups to come
back!"
Happy Labor Day!
