The top of the day to you.

Plums are really in season now and every time I walk by them at my favorite grocery store I can help but pick up a few of them. And besides that, they're real cheap at $0.89 a pound.

I usually eat them around mid morning between my melons for breakfast and my noon meal of Mangoes and Bananas. I try to eat the Stone Fruits at the mid morning time. But how do you pick a good plum everyone always asks me when I'm picking out a few.

Here's what I do: I always look for the shiniest ones and the softest ones as even though they ripen after they're picked, they never last in my house and since the store is right down the street from my house, I get them when they are perfectly ready, then. And since I buy from them almost everyday, sometimes they'll let me try some of them to know which ones are the ones I like. I like the Purple ones the best and so help me I can't give you the names of each one of them right now.

But if you will pick out the softest ones and the shiniest ones, they'll sure to be good. One other benefit of eating lots of plums, they sure do make you go to the bathroom EXTRA good. Who'd've ever thunk it? Nuff said!

I bet you are wondering why I never write about how to pick a great mango. Well you can never get good ones in the store when you get the ones I get from Walter Zill in Boynton Beach, FL! 561-737-9419. So I can't tell you how to pick them as usually all they get in the stores are the Tommy Atkins and I think they're the worst of them all. I never thought I would ever think there was a bad mango but those to me aren't worth a hoot. Sorry to end off with a sour note. Best to you.
