The top of the day to you.
And it was a beautiful day at that. I was able to ride my bicycle 42 miles
today with no shirt and the sun was just right. After that ride, I couldn't
wait to get home to try this recipe I was thinking about sharing with you as
I was riding the bike.
As a matter of fact, I just washed the dish and brushed my teeth and thought
I can't do anything else before I share this one with you. It's excellent and
so easy to prepare as well.
By now you know that I like to eat the foods that are in season and String
Beans are so great for you and while they're winding down in the season I've
been loading up on them as they're such superb sources of Protein. A lot of
people are very concerned about where they get their protein if they don't eat
meat.
Well here's a great recipe and I'll not call it an alternative as actually
the meat is more or an alternative to finer, classier, more nutritious foods
like I've been sharing with you over the last few years.
INGREDIENTS:
- One pound of Fresh String Beans
- One quarter cup (4 ounces at max.) Walnuts
- One half ounce of Sesame Oil
- One quarter teaspoon fresh Basil
- Two 1" wide and 2" long slices of Fresh Coconut.
Steam the String Beans for exactly 2 minutes on a high heat. Then shut the
heat off and let the String Beans steam (Steep so to speak) for exactly 1 more
minute. Put the cooked String Beans in a large salad bowl and toss with the
One half ounce of Sesame Oil and the One quarter teaspoon fresh Basil. Then
with a cheese slicer thinly shave the Coconut slices over the mixture and toss
one more time. Then you should have a nice mixture colorfully. Then top it off
with the Walnuts.
This will fill you up like you wouldn't believe. And this is a great way to
skip that meat meal but still get more quality Protein than you thought you
could. This is an evening meal. Enjoy!

PPS One more thing I need to clear up. A couple issues ago I mentioned that
a fellow speaker in her presentation to the National Speakers Association where
she mentioned "STINK FLOATIES"! I stand Corrected as it was indicated
to me that she called them "FLUFFY FLOATIES"! Regardless of what she
called them, they still shouldn't be fluffy and they still shouldn't float.
